Thrilling Inshore Fishing Experience in Cape Town
Cape Town’s coastal waters are teeming with diverse marine life, making it an ideal destination for inshore fishing enthusiasts. Reel Thyme Charters offers an unforgettable fishing adventure, perfect for beginners and seasoned anglers looking to reel in some of the region’s most sought-after fish species.
The Inshore Fishing Experience
Unlike deep-sea fishing, inshore fishing takes place closer to the coastline, offering a more relaxed experience while still delivering plenty of action. Cape Town’s inshore waters are home to species like yellowtail, snoek, kob, and various reef fish, providing anglers with an exciting yet accessible fishing opportunity.
What to Expect with Inshore Fishing
Your trip with Reel Thyme Charters kicks off with a warm welcome from our experienced crew, who will guide you through a short safety briefing and fishing techniques before we set off. As we cruise along the scenic Cape coastline, you’ll have the chance to soak in breathtaking views while waiting for the first bite. Whether casting your line near rocky reefs or chasing shoals of yellowtail, the thrill of the catch is unmatched. Our expert crew will be on hand to assist, ensuring a memorable and rewarding fishing experience.

The Unique Appeal of Cape Point
Cape Point is part of the Cape Floral Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is known for its remarkable flora and fauna. The convergence of the cold Benguela Current and the warm Agulhas Current creates a nutrient-rich environment, attracting a plethora of marine life. This unique ecosystem supports a diverse range of seabirds, making it one of the premier locations for pelagic bird watching.

What a magic day out on the water, was bucket list for sure!👌🏻 Would have been happy with just one decent Yellowfin, but to have hooked 5 was beyond all expectation 🥂 Very professional skipper, crew and setup, would definitely recommend!
Thank you to Sean and Jack for a fantastic day out at sea. It is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. I have been fishing off the KZN coastline since I can remember but Tuna fishing off Hout Bay is a special experience. I caught the biggest fish of my life that any angler would be proud of. It is the definition of big game fishing and I can't wait to do it again.
